The pain continues…

Well I did it, I got up early and went for another walk a good 45-50 min power walk, well it felt like the earth moved for me anyway!

It was tough getting out and up especially as I’m a night owl so I only got 6 hours sleep – this is a habit I am going to have to break because I am going to need the extra sleep so my body can repair from the rigours of my harsh training regime…well almost harsh :)

I did actually manage to walk home from walk again last night as well, this only takes between 20-30 minutes depending how hard I push myself, as part of the plan I am forming in my head a nightly walk home is a prominent feature for two reasons. Firstly it is going to be at a slower pace (this is deliberate) to help stretch out any sore and tired muscles and secondly to help clear my head after a long day at work.

My big fear is missing out on family time, I spend a lot of hours at work, I own the business and if I don’t do it the rent don’t get paid. This has been one the big stumbling blocks for me getting out and getting fit previously so I had to make the tough decision of getting up early, and for me this is a real tough one. I hate the mornings, I really really really hate the mornings, but I love spending time with my wife and son more – so the tough decision was made – mornings it is!!!

Well done! You can do it. As for missing out on family life - gather them up and take them with you every now and then.

The morning is the best part of the day. I am sure you will start to look forward to getting up early soon!
If you do your exercise early morning then you are less likely to put it off due to something else- how often do you get asked to go for drinks/ food etc at 6am!
Just stumble out of bed, crank up the ipod volume and hit the pavement!!!! :-)

I too know how hard it is to make the decision to go full swing into getting fit and slim…. Keep it up as I too will be doing it with you along the way. Just remember when it gets tough, just KEEP GOING!!!
