I may have said this before…I hurt!!!

After an easy week last week, to help ease my back into exercise again, I went full steam ahead this week. Starting on Sunday I had my first decent walk in at least six weeks or maybe even eight weeks. I thought fathers day was an appropriate day to stretch out again as our soon to be four year old was the main inspiration in getting me out the door and getting fit again in the first place. I must say the walk itself wasn’t that hard, but holy hell the next day did I know about it!!! My ankle was complaining my adductor was complaining, I was complaining and generally the world sucked!!! After resting Monday and doing it again tonight, I have to say the world still sucks, but it should all be good by the end of the week…I  hope ;)

I must say my adductor started hurting pretty early in my walk on Sunday but seems to have settled down well, my ankle though is still giving me plenty although it is better once it has warmed up while I’m walking, so I’m pretty confident I haven’t done anything serious to it.

I have been toying with the idea of accelerating my weight loss and fitness regime partly for the extra mental and physical challenge and partly to give me more to write about. I have been successfully plodding along since January and I feel I have proven to myself that slow and steady works pretty bloody well and isn’t terribly difficult so once I’m back up to speed in a couple of weeks I think I might start to push myself. I will try and come up with a plan in the next week or so and let you all know. Till then its slow and steady…. :)
