My brain is swiss cheese!
Over the last two weeks I have lost 500 grams, while hardly astounding it is a least going in the right direction and that now means that I have lost 21 kilo’s in total, it is good to be back on the wagon again and off at a gallop.
Today however I decided to give the old wagon a bit of a push. Today is my day off and the car brakes needed to be done so I thought I would drop the car off walk back home and then a couple of hours later walk back and pick the car back up. The round trip would take me about an hour and fifteen maybe even less.
Well it all started to plan I dropped the car off, and started heading off back home, I then remembered that I needed to go to the post office rather urgently, not a long detour (about 20 mins) but a detour none the less. About five minutes from the post office realised that I haven’t taken my house key off my key ring and its back at the mechanics, so I turn around and back I go! So after another 30 or so minutes I find myself back at the post office and finally send off a parcel that has been in my satchel for the last week.
So then its finally off home I go, enjoying a lovely spring day in Sydney, by the time I get home I have already been walking of an hour and fifteen and I must say I looking forward to bit of a rest before walking back to pick up the car in a couple of hours…….but oh how life can be cruel…….I discover that my house keys aren’t in my pocket were I thought they were!!! I sit down and go through all my possessions to find that they are definitely not on me, its at this moment the days great indignity occurs, as I sit there fuming a bird fly’s past and shits on me, I couldn’t believe it, the blue bird of happiness had finally achieved its goal and shit on me!!!
Between fits of hysterical laughter and tears I then hike it back to the post office were I find my keys - thankfully - and then not so long after that its of to pick up the car and finally back home….3 bloody hours later!
Besides some very sore feet and being very very tired I managed to walk for 3 hours almost non stop with out to much complaint, I must say in retrospect I am quite happy to know I can do that, but I won’t be replicating that feat again for a while - I Hope . ![]()

I really admire your commitment, it would be easy to just walk away or get distracted.
Those of us who know you know you work 12 hour days, we also know you have a family and own your own business that is what makes your commitment to this all the more remarkable
I look forward to the updates and know we are all here cheering you on:)
