Time flies

I must admit to having no idea that so much time has passed since my last post, as they say time flies… so much has happened to keep me away from my PC to do a regular post. Lets see were to start, first up there was the tax department hammering at my door for an overdue tax return, for some reason they are rather difficult to ignore :) Then there was the big spring clean, this was an urgent necessity as my mother in law was coming to stay and funnily enough demanded that she have somewhere to sleep…the cheek of it! Then there was my mother in law - enough said really ;) Then to top it of was the on again, off again, on again, and finally off again attempt at buying our own piece of Sydney and despite all of that I still managed to loose a couple of kilo’s. Did I mention that it was our sons fourth birthday as well so amazingly I managed to loose 2 kilos while consuming 1 or 2 dozen chocolate crackles - quite amazing!

In the midst of all of that our business (feel amazing wellness centres) won two local business awards, this rare double included some seriously good times, I’m not too sure how I survived those two wild nights!

I think the reason that I managed to continue to loose weight at a modest amount is that I have been consistent with some form of exercise or another. Whether its a couple of short walks (to work and back), longer walks at night or more incidental exercise, I have kept moving. I have also been sticking to my eating plan of 3 meals a day and the occasional good snack i.e. an apple or some raw nuts, and maybe the odd naughty thing.

So as I head toward the end of the year I am realistically looking at a 25 kilo loss for the year, part of me wants to start pushing myself to try and get to a 30 kilo loss and the other part of me is very content indeed at the progress I am making. It really is a tough call. If the rest of my personal life settles back into its normal rhythm over the next week or so I reckon I’ll give it a shot, but I’ve learnt not to overwhelm myself as that is a recipe for procrastination…so I guess its a bit of wait and see…

Merry Christmas - here’s hoping the festive season doesn’t undo all the good you have done over the year and we all look forward to hearing your plans and goals in 2008. Well done so far!!
