Hi Anthony

I was over at the feelamazing website and saw the link to your blog - bravo!
I know what you mean about finding motivation. I've been stuck at 80kg or so for the last 3 years - which puts me at a BMI of 27 - just enough to be overweight - it seems like no matter what I do I can't lose more than 2-3 kgs (at one point I was paddling 5-6 times a week and only got down to 78kg !?)

Sport is a great motivator, whether it be a team sport (mine is dragonboat racing) or an individual sport - something where you can set goals and see your progress (like making a team selection, or getting placings/times at events). Then your goal isn't just about doing the exercise and training in order to lose weight, it's to get something you really want. And a sport where you have a coach to help you out with technique and injury prevention is even better.

I've been lucky enough to end up with an awesome team so I have lots of people to help inspire me to train hard - I've gained lots of strength and I look less chubby than I did before I started but I just wish I was a bit lighter...

All the best for your journey Anthony - I'm sure I'll be seeing you at the centre again soon - now that the race season is back on my shoulders will need more work! (Is Mark still there?)

Cheers

The main thing is not to give up, and then everything will turn out, only at first it seems that exercises are very hard, but after a while you get used and they seem very easy. We must believe and do everything to achieve their goal.

Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.
